Random Misadventures of an Eventful Wednesday

Wow two posts in a single week, it must be a record! Actually today was full of some exciting events I just felt compelled to tell the internet about them.

Well today actually started out pretty lame. I had to go in to work at 8 am this morning. Now most people would say 8 isn't that early, but for a college student who doesn't have class until noon, this was ridiculously early. Anyway, I stumbled out of bed early this morning and wandered over to the building I was working in and on the way I ran into a guy who was totally the evil twin of none other than my dear friend Party Pete. He looked exactly the same down to the khakis and black pea coat. The only way I knew it wasn't actually him was the cigarette he had in is his hand. Thus the only rational conclusion would be that I found his evil twin. After that I sat around the helpdesk for a couple hours listening to the techs banter on about the funniest things. From one's hatred about stats to another's complains of a hang over, the conversations were quite entertaining.

Next was my first computer science class of the day which went by rather slowly and wasn't too exciting. That was followed by my other comp sci class which was mildly interesting. The best part was before the class started. You know how people tend to sit in the same seats every day in classes, well I always sit two seats from the wall in my cs class and there are always these two guys that come in right before class starts and sit in the two chairs next to me. Now this week a third guy decided to come and sit in the seat next to me, disrupting the seating bliss we had. So then I got put in the awkward position of splitting up these three friends. With only two seats and three friends, one had to sit on the other side of me. I don't know if its just me, but I love watching people be awkward. Part of me wants to sit one seat over on Friday so that all three of them can sit together, but the other part of me wants to witness the awkwardness, mwahahaa.

Ahem, after that I trekked over to the physics building for none other than my physics class. Which is always entertaining since I sit with Party Pete and Cassette Disc. Today we had a quiz with these stupid clickers that act like remotes that you input your answers on. Anyway, they look stupid and in fact are rather pointless (its just because the professor is too lazy to grade quizzes, or rather pass them off to the TA to grade). But they are a new fangled technology, so I guess they have to learn that its stupid somehow. Well Party Pete decided to trace his "cleeeker" (as the professor says) and turned it into a fun little guy with a sophisticated curly mustache, a comb-over, a tux shirt and a cape. He then proceeded to write out the rest of his notes with his left hand (he's right handed) it was more entertaining watching him than keeping track of how many times the professor drops his microphone.

On my way back home from class I got the prime opportunity to be a creepy stalker, it was too much fun. See when I walk home I take several short cuts through buildings. And today there was this poor guy who happened to be taking the same short cuts I was. Now it started when I walked through the Conner museum which is a really random building and really people only enter it to pass through it. So I followed him into that building and he didn't think twice when he held the door open after him. But then I continued to follow him out of the same exit and across a courtyard into another building. This time he gave me an awkward look while holding the door open behind him. As we were walking down the hall he continually looked behind himself to see if I was following him (I assumed) the best part was when he turned a corner and took a quick look behind and started walking faster when he saw I turned at the same corner! So then I followed him out of the building and he hurried off in the opposite direction I was headed. I never realized how much fun it is stalking people (even if its unintentional)!

So that's been about the extent of my day. Oh I have recently found my new favorite band (well maybe not my absolute favorite, but they are high up there). Anyway, its White Rabbits, they have a really fun, unique sound and don't sound like every other alternative/indie/punk band out there right now.

And with that I will leave you to go to homework or get ready to watch Lost! And I wish you a Happy Hump Day!
